Starlight Community Network began humbly on May 18, 2019, as a small group chat named “Vanessa & James Hangout” among friends seeking respite from the tumult of the Rigs of Rods community, aiming to create a safe and enjoyable space to hang out. As interest grew, on March, 30 2019 it evolved into a private server called “V&J Hangout.”

Realizing the potential to expand beyond our circle, we opened the doors to the public on January 18, 2020. However, our initial foray into openness was met with challenges; the server encountered its first raid, revealing vulnerabilities like broken roles and general disarray. Consequently, it was permanently rebranded as “V&J Hangout: Archived”

Undeterred by setbacks, on July 30, 2020, “V&J: Reborn” emerged from the ashes. The original group splintered off to form the “Squad Hangout” on December 18, 2020. Over the years, this community has flourished into the expansive network it is today, encompassing the seven servers it now hosts.

From its inception, Starlight Community Network has aimed to foster a welcoming environment, free from the toxicity often found in gaming communities. Originally founded in May 2019, SCN, formerly known as V&J Hangout, has grown into a thriving Discord network dedicated to connecting gamers, music enthusiasts, mod creators, and more.

Emphasizing inclusivity, SCN embraces individuals of all ages, genders, and gaming proficiencies. The community prides itself on its dedicated staff, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for everyone. With plans to host Regular events and tournaments cater to gamers of varying skill levels, complemented by a commitment to support and camaraderie.

SCN looks forward to welcoming new members into its vibrant and supportive community, inviting them to share their love for gaming and forge lasting friendships in a space designed for everyone to shine.
